Chul-Ki Kim won the Best Paper Award at 2020 KIEES summer symposium

Chul-Ki Kim won the Best Paper Award on August 21th, 2020.

The paper entitled “A Novel Video Extraction Method for Video-SAR with Wide Angle Antenna” was presented at 2020 Korean Institue of Electromagnetic Engineering and Science (KIEES) summer symposium.

He proposed a new signal processing method to generate the multi-frames of VISAR using Doppler shifting technique via sub-aperture processing. The method is based on our designed wide-angle antenna, which is a corrugated horn shape with low side lobe and Gaussian beam pattern. Based on the characteristics of the antenna, the proposed method generates each frame of video at a high frame rate through each chirp pulse signal in Doppler domain.
